Schill Grounds Management, a provider of commercial landscaping and snow and ice removal services, has acquired Enviroscapes, a family-owned landscaping company serving customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Based in Louisville, Ohio, Enviroscapes serves hundreds of commercial customers with its landscape maintenance, snow and ice removal services. It also offers design and installation services, as well as utility clearing and mowing. Enviroscapes’ team of 200 employees will join Schill’s team of 400 professionals.
Enviroscapes is the largest acquisition in Schill’s nearly 30-year history and the company’s fifth acquisition in the past 18 months as Schill continues its thoughtful and focused expansion throughout the Midwest. The transaction advances Schill’s ambitions to provide customers with consistent, high-quality services throughout the State of Ohio and parts of Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Following the transaction, Enviroscapes Founder and CEO Todd Pugh will own an equity interest in the combined company and will serve as the company’s Akron/Canton Market President. Schill will continue to operate under the Enviroscapes brand in the Akron/Canton and Western Pennsylvania markets.
“I have tremendous respect for what Todd and the team at Enviroscapes have built and the reputation they have earned in the industry,” said Jerry Schill, founder and CEO of Schill Grounds Management. “I am thrilled that after many years of working together professionally, we can finally come together as partners to create a premier company serving customers far beyond our roots in Ohio.”
“The team and I are delighted to formalize the partnership with Schill that has existed for many years,” said Pugh. “I look forward to working alongside Jerry to create new opportunities in the region. Jerry’s energy and passion for the industry is infectious, and I’m confident that our combined platform will provide incredible opportunities for growth. “
