£30,107 to £35,557 per year Unqualified Lecturer Salary

Salary of £37,595 to £39,761 per year for qualified lecturers.

Salaries including London weighting and based on teaching and learning level

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a team leader, the incumbent will join the garden design and landscaping team at the School of Horticulture, responsible for delivering courses in horticulture, design gardens and landscaping to students on all campuses.

Liaising with the Director and Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, recruiting, managing and training the team of hands-on instructors who assist in the delivery and support of the courses. horticulture and landscaping on all college sites. They will ensure the development and parity of practical courses. teaching at all sites, ensuring the health and safety of participants and overseeing the resource budget for horticulture and garden design. They will ensure that all practical lessons and assessments run smoothly with well-planned coordination between delivery staff, assessors, auditors and students. The team leader will play an important role in the continuous improvement of all the services provided by this team.

The ideal candidate will have some management experience, have worked in a teaching or teaching role in horticulture/landscape. They will hold a relevant Horticulture qualification at Level 3 or above and be familiar with the delivery of the Horticulture/Landscaping curriculum. They will monitor and develop the practical aspects of training and assessment and support staff teams during delivery as well as external competitions as required.

The Team Leader will play a vital role in the planning and resources for horticulture and garden design in Mottingham.
